Cruisers Exe Sailing Club members cruise the world, but more often the English Channel and the ports of Devon and Cornwall. By its very nature cruising is a "get away from it all" activity but members meet regularly in distant ports by arrangement or good fortune. Members frequently require crews to accompany them. Yachts range in size from the smallest at 22 feet to ....... Cruiser racing is very popular with some members and takes place mainly Tuesdays and Wednesdays on summer evenings, at sea. All types and sizes of yachts take part. See the Sailing Programme. Occasional weekend cruises are organised and members often compete in summer regattas, such as Fowey and Dartmouth, as well as the River Exe Regatta. The River Exe Champagne Challenge, organised by the Club, is a very popular coastal race held at the end of the season. It attracts most of the Club fleet and visitors from the other clubs also.
