RYA Assistant Instructor Course - Keelboats/Sailability
AIM
An excellent start to becoming an instructor and becoming part of the ESC instructor team of volunteers. Extremely rewarding and fun. Ideal for Sailability Volunteer who would like to do more teaching/coaching on sessions.
DURATION
A 2 day course
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Sailing skills to the standard of RYA Level 2 Basic Skills/RYA Stage 4 and to one of the advanced modules.
MINIMUM AGE
Minimum age: 13yrs
COST
Cost: Free
G14 Instructor Logbook/handbook supplied
YOU NEED TO BRING
Sailing gear to include
Wetsuit
Buoyancy aid (minimum 50 Newtons)
Footwear (Grippy shoes that can get wet. Wetsuit boots or shoes, or trainers are fine, Plimsoles, Crocs or Wellies not ok)
Swim gear and/or rash vest for under the wetsuit
Waterproof jacket or spray top
Towel
Sun protection including suncream/sun hat
Warm kit for colder days
Notepad and pen
Waterbottle
Packed lunch (extra snacks/drinks available when club bar is open)
