RYA Day Skipper Theory, November 22
A comprehensive introduction to chartwork navigation meteorology and the basics of seamanship. Invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and if you are considering taking the Day Skipper practical course.
AIM
This course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.
DURATION
This course dates, Monday and Tuesday's, 7th and 8th, 14th and 15th Nov, 21st and 22nd Nov
Timings, 9am to 430pm each day,
The course is taught over 40 hours with two exam papers
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Some practical experience is desirable.

Minimum age: 16 yrs
COST
Cost: £325 for members, £375 for non-members

RYA Handbook and course notes
Portland plotter and dividers
Certificate on successful completion of course.
YOU NEED TO BRING
- Large notebook, pencils and stationary
- Packed lunch (extra snacks/drinks available when club bar is open)
