This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities. It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying.
2 day course. 0900-1700 approx
Cost: £50 for Members, £210 Non-members
Minimum age: 16yrs you must already hold your PB2, have at least a years experience and have good control of a powerboat
You will need;
- Sailing gear (You should be ready and prepared to enter the water if necessary)
- Buoyancy aid, not lifejacket.
- Lunch
- Notebook and pen
Courses held at Exe Sailing Club with a minimum duration of 16 hours, with a maximum ratio of, 1 instructor to 6 students. You will be supplied with the RYA Safety Boat Handbook.
