An Open Fun Race for Cruisers to Brixham.
Note, this is a “fun” race and there is an unwritten rule of not “winning it twice”. There’s hope for everyone!
First start 11.00 BST.
The race will be from Exmouth to Brixham and is expected to be 3 to 4 hours duration.
Entry is free. The link to the entry form can be found below, please note, the closing date for entries is midnight on 6th September.
There will be a post race evening meal at Brixham YC, please book meals in advance also using the link below.
Main course options:
Curry Buffet with a choice of Beef Madras, Chicken Tikka and Vegetable Tikka, with rice, naan, poppadom, onion bhaji, onion salad, mint yoghurt (Choose one or a mix of three)
OR
Vegetable lasagne with garlic bread and salad
(Chips will also be available for either option)
Dessert options:
Apple Crumble with custard or ice cream
OR
Chocolate brownie with ice cream
Skippers can book meals for their whole crew or crew members can book individually. The closing date for meal bookings is midnight on 7th September.

Once you start the entry you will be asked to login. If you are an ESC member or have previously entered events at Exe Sailing Club, you should be able to use your existing log-in details (use “forgot password” if you can’t remember the password), otherwise create a new account.
The race fleets will be divided by YTC rating – Fleet 1, faster boats and Fleet 2, slower boats. List to be published below on the day before the race.
Race sign on/sign off will be performed using WhatsApp, details on how to join the Champagne Challenge 2025 Whatsapp group are given in the Notice of Race document.
If you are taking Under 18 year olds/Vulnerable adults for whom you are not a parent/primary carer, the consent form provided in the ONB must be completed and held by the skipper.

There will be no cash discount for rally participants, however MDL OTIUM awards
For visiting boats (13th), if already signed up, will receive points on payment. ONLY accrued points to that date can be redeemed on payment for that night.
If not signed up, you can sign up on the day.
Berthing costs:
Up to 12.5m £4.10 per metre per night including VAT
12.6m + £4.75 per metre per night including VAT
