Support Our Work
Donate to Sailability at Exe Sailing Club
Freedom on the water should be open to everyone.
Sailability at Exe Sailing Club enables children and adults with disabilities and additional needs to enjoy sailing and boating on the Exe in adapted boats, supported by trained volunteers. We’re run entirely by volunteers and charge only a minimal fee per session; we rely on donations to keep the programme afloat.

Why Your Support Matters
Low cost, high impact: It costs about £20,000 each year to maintain our adapted Hawk 20s, Tornado 2 motorboat, safety boats and specialist equipment, pay for moorings and fuel, and provide ongoing training for our volunteers.
Every pound counts: A donation of £25 funds one sailor’s session; £100 buys essential safety equipment; larger gifts contribute to boat maintenance and upgrades.
Immediate local impact: Unlike large national charities, every gift you make goes straight to creating life changing experiences for local people in Devon. Over 500 sailors took part in 220 sessions in 2024, and we want to welcome even more.
Award winning and affiliated: Our volunteers commitment has been recognised with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service, and we are proud to be part of RYA Sailability – a national programme making sailing accessible across the UK and the world.

Partnerships and Legacies
Partnerships: We welcome enquiries from companies and individuals who wish to support a boat, piece of equipment or specific programme.
Legacies: Leaving a gift in your will helps secure the long term future of Sailability. Every legacy, whatever the size, makes a huge difference.
