Sailability@Exe Sailing Club receives King's Award

We are delighted to announce that the Club’s Sailability volunteers this year have been recognised with the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service (the group equivalent of an MBE).

The award was made public at 0900 today and press releases have been issued.

In Spring next year, the actual award will be presented to Sailability by the Lord Lieutenant for Devonshire when arrangements will be made for the media to attend.

This is a fantastic achievement, recognising the dedication of all of the club members that support Sailability. We’ll now be able to use the award logo in social media and correspondence under the identity of ‘Sailability@Exe Sailing Club’ particularly with a focus on existing and prospective sponsors.

A huge well done to all the Sailability Volunteers and thank you to the whole club membership for the support that allows the Sailability activity to take place.
