RYA Dinghy Instructor
AIM
Gaining your DI allows you to teach all around the world. A highly enjoyable and rewarding qualification to have. You’ll be able to teach the RYA adult and youth syllabus plus day sailing and seamanship skills. Further learning can be obtained to teach other courses and in other types of boat.
DURATION
A 5 day course.

Pre-entry assessment passed
Current First Aid certificate
RYA PB2
RYA Fun & Safeguarding certificate
MINIMUM AGE
Minimum age: 16yrs
COST
Cost: 2024, £280 for members, £420 for non-members
YOU NEED TO BRING
- Sailing gear to include
- Wetsuit
- Buoyancy aid (minimum 50 Newtons)
- Footwear (Grippy shoes that can get wet. Wetsuit boots or shoes, or trainers are fine, Plimsoles, Crocs or Wellies not ok)
- Swim gear and/or rash vest for under the wetsuit
- Waterproof jacket or spray top
- Towel
- Sun protection including suncream/sun hat
- Warm hat for colder days
- G14 Instructor Logbook/handbook prior to the course
- Notepad and pen
- Waterbottle
- Packed lunch (extra snacks/drinks available when club bar is open)
