Fleet Captain Izzy Langman

The RS Aero is a popular fleet at Exe SC. We currently have 10 Aeros in the fleet which provides a great mix of fun and competitive sailing.

The RS Aero is easy to rig and, at half the weight of a Laser, very light, which makes launching and recovery much easier. The, sometimes, long haul back up the beach is comparatively easy with the Aero.

The Aeros 4 rig sizes of 5, 6, 7 and 9 offer options to suit all abilities and allowing youths, women and men to enjoy the racing by being able to swap rig sizes dependent on prevailing conditions.

Currently we have 2 lady sailors normally using the 6 rig and 8 men sailors normally using the 5, 7 or, occasionally, 9 rig options. We are a friendly, supportive bunch and we are always looking for new sailors to expand our fleet. So, please come and join us!

The Aero Fleet keeps in contact via a WhatsApp group, individuals may use this to let others know if they intend to sail or share other useful Class information.
